International Bootcamp to India 2019 alumni from the University of Newcastle
James has an eclectic background. After completing an associate diploma in Mechanical Engineering, he then gained 15+ years of retail management experience before moving back into mechanical engineering as a mature age student.
Upon completing his degree, he worked for four years in a successful technology start-up assisting Australia’s major mining companies collect and analyse meaningful reliability data whilst at the same time working as a reliability consultant.
He then decided to take on a PhD in renewable technology (Thermal Storage) which he is now undertaking part-time. For over two years, he has been the Senior Mechanical Engineer at the University of Newcastle. A role that assists both students and academics in the practical part of their research and studies to ensure they achieve the outcomes they desire from their experiments.
