Martin Boehnel

Martin Boehnel is a passionate interdisciplinary learning designer, educator, facilitator, and serial entrepreneur.  

He has co-founded several hardware startups, worked in the design industry in Europe, China, New Zealand, and Australia, and taught human-centred design and innovation methods at multiple international universities for over 25 years. 

Martin is dedicated to creating transformative learning experiences that align with strategic goals and applying instructional design theories and methods to enhance the learning process, and is excited to now be working alongside the team at SSE as Training Facilitator to enhance program design, development, and delivery, and deliver world-class training outcomes. 

Martin holds a Bachelor of Industrial and Product Design. He was awarded a Good Design prize for Educational Design in 2019, along with numerous other sustainable product design prizes.
