Suzanne van Gastel

As SSE’s Senior Operations Officer, Suzanne van Gastel provides wide-ranging administrative support and is responsible for the efficient and effective daily functioning of SSE’s head office and campus.

She brings 15 years’ experience in facilities management and operations to her role, including nine years in education in the Netherlands, excelling in making work processes more efficient and creating structure from chaos. She says, ‘Problem solving is in my DNA!’

As part of her Bachelor of Business Administration and Facility Management, she did an internship in the Dutch Caribbean which ignited her passion for travel and led eventually to her decision to travel South and Central America for 1.5 years. While travelling, she met her husband and they eventually settled in Australia, where she has worked in a variety of building, operations, and property management roles and as a freelance virtual assistant/administration manager.

Suzanne is excited to work in an environment with driven and motivated colleagues and to be part of building Australia’s entrepreneurial workforce.
