Meet the four SSE students who are joining us for the program

Thomas Sau (Macquarie University)

Thomas is a driven and ambitious student who has enrolled in four SSE units since 2018, adding valuable entrepreneurship experience to his Bachelor of Business Leadership and Commerce at Macquarie University. Thomas is developing a private retail brand on Amazon to create a passive, stable and reliable income stream that can help him take on the world’s problems. As a fluent Mandarin speaker, he is excited for the opportunity to expand his understanding of Chinese e-commerce and meet other passionate students from around the world.

Erika Salmon (TAFE NSW)

Erika was always inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of her parents, so when she heard about SSE, she jumped at the chance to be part of our inaugural unit, The Navigator. Since then, Erika has dived headlong into the entrepreneurship ecosystem and has completed multiple SSE units. She is particularly interested in intrapreneurship and innovations surrounding cybersecurity, IoT, smart architecture/cities and automation. She’s looking forward to using this opportunity to expand her knowledge of the IT sector and validate her tech-driven ideas across borders.

Jack Leung (UNSW Sydney)

As the CEO of Generation Entrepreneur Group, Jack shares SSE’s vision to help empower young people to change the world. Having collaborated with SSE over many years, he’s now joining the Hong Kong Shenzhen International Bootcamp to be immersed in Chinese entrepreneurship education and explore the environment as a location for potential expansion.

 Daniel Smith (University of Newcastle)

Since first hearing about SSE at his university O-Week, Daniel has taken every opportunity available to develop his entrepreneurial skills and mindset. After getting involved in the drone industry when he developed a surf lifesaving drone in year 12, he’s founded his own innovative training startup, Skylark Solutions, and will use the bootcamp to better understand the needs of the Asian market.
