We believe in making opportunity accessible. SSE charges no fees for units undertaken as a co-curricular activity.
Given that our scholarships are provided to cover the cost of regional students' travel to and accommodation at our intensives (which will now be online in response to the COVID-19 risk), no new scholarship offers will be made for Semester 1 2020. All our 2020 units remain fee-free for students at our 12 member institutions.
Studying with us
In response to student feedback and the challenges of COVID-19, we’ve redesigned our units to be fully online in 2020. For our Semester 2 units Activation and Structuring for Success, we've also reimagined our structure to give you the same high-quality learning experience but in a shorter, more flexible format.
Our new Semester 2 units focus on impactful interactions in an online environment that will immerse participants in the world of innovation and entrepreneurship over six weeks.
Start dates have remained the same, as have the learning outcomes and time commitments per week, allowing you to upskill quicker and remain flexible in this uncertain time.
Our online units are flexible to fit around your schedule. It should be able to be completed around your existing commitments. We suggest setting aside 3-5 hours per week to complete the unit. Some units will require participation in online webinars, but this is included in the expected timeframe.
We connect you with like-minded people from around the state and believe strongly in collaboration so be prepared to be available for group work.
A mindset, a new way of thinking, a whole new perspective on your career and the world. We’ll give you the skills you need to start your own venture or to contribute to innovation in whatever field you’re in. And you’ll learn heaps from the people you work with and meet along the way.
We believe in making opportunity accessible so there are no fees for our units if you study them as co-curricular (i.e. not for credit) and you are a current student at one of our 12 partner institutions.
Our units are not currently available for credit, although you may be able to receive recognition of your achievement through leadership or work-integrated learning programs at your institution. Check with your home institution to see what's possible.
Apart from potentially life-changing experience and a whole new way of looking at the world?!
You’ll get a certificate of completion and you can put the achievement on your resume and LinkedIn. You’ll receive this certificate after engaging online and meeting the minimum requirements of the unit as detailed in the Unit Outline.
You’ll also join our alumni community, opening up even more opportunities.
Visiting our campus
We’re just a 10-minute walk from Central station – you can walk through UTS or the Goods Line. Let Google Maps do the hard work and find us at Building J, 651 – 731 Harris Street Ultimo NSW 2007. Here’s a map to help you.
Unfortunately there is no parking on campus, although you can drop people off at the building. Your best bet is on Mary Ann Street or the surrounding side streets. Paid parking is available at the Thomas Street Car Park (part of UTS) or at the Novotel Sydney.
Yes, access is available on Thomas Street and Mary Ann Street. We have an accessible bathroom on Level 1 (accessed via lift). If you have any accessibility needs or questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be happy to help.
For security reasons, the gates to our campus are closed late and night and on weekends. You can always access the campus via the security games on Mary Ann St. Just let them know you’re here for a Sydney School of Entrepreneurship activity.
