The Invest in Yourself: Exploring Money and Self-Employment program focuses on strengthening the financial literacy of young people (15-35 years old) from the Ezidi community in Armidale and helping them understand how they can use their unique skillsets in innovative ways to create meaningful employment—which may include creating a ‘side business’, exploring self-employment, discovering entrepreneurial pathways and innovative problem solving, or building confidence to undertake remote working opportunities.
We have partnered with the Department of Regional NSW to deliver this program to 15-35 year old people living in the Ezidi community in Armidale.

Eligibility: 15-35 year old members of the Ezidi community in Armidale.
Learning Outcomes:
The Invest in Yourself Program is designed to increase young peoples’ agency, ability to pursue financial independence and ability to adapt to change confidently.
Through the program, participants will cover topics including:
- Introducing financial literacy and entrepreneurship
- Understanding what a budget is
- Understanding assets and liabilities
- Credit, superannuation and tax
- Self-employment, side-businesses, freelancing, remote work opportunities
Sharable Digital Badge: After finishing the program, participants will receive a digital badge that can be shared on their resume and LinkedIn profile.
