Solving grassroots agribusiness problems together

Agmentation 2018 is a sprint and pitch grassroots problem-solving event held over two days, bringing together primary producers, technical engineers, UNE researchers, industry stakeholders, university students and regional high school students to form teams and work towards solutions to address the 2018 Mission Statement: “Weighing In – Measuring Productivity in Non-Traditional Ways”

The UNE SMART Region Incubator invites you to join Agmentation and be part of tranforming the way we farm, produce and create in the region.

Nominations for idea pitches and registration for the event closes on Friday 6th July.

Friday 27 July

5pmWelcome Event – Register & join us for a BBQ to kick off the evening

6pm – State of Play Panel – Measuring Productivity in Non-Traditional Ways facilitated by Professor David Lamb of the Precision Agriculture Research Group, the panel will discuss the current productivity challenges.

Saturday 28 July

7:30am BBQ Breakfast

8am Welcome and Game Plan! Innovators will pitch their idea!

8:45am Game On! Teams be formed and spend the next 8 hours utilising the skills within their team, as well as the resources and knowledge that will be made available to them through the UNE SMART Region Incubator network of mentors and innovators.

12 noon SMART Farm Cross Country Tour Teams will take a break from lunch and are invited to tour the UNE SMART Farm with Professor David Lamb

4pm Showcase Final pitch in front of the judges.

5pm Winners Announced! We’ll be awarding a Winner, Runner-Up, Judges Commendation and Peoples Choice
