Innovate your business model
Capturing value through business model innovation is a key to startup success.
Students will take an experiential journey through business model analysis and innovation, as well as business model considerations for social innovation and ventures.
Core to the unit is gaining practical experience in evaluating business structures and structuring a venture to capture maximum value.
Students will be prepared for a wide range of possibilities using entrepreneurial skills and knowledge to start a venture or contribute to an enterprise or community venture.
The unit is open to anyone who:
- has an early stage or emerging startup, a great idea, or an interest in applying entrepreneurship skills to a current/future enterprise
- wants to collaborate and build connections with like-minded people across different institutions and disciplines
- is studying at one of the 11 NSW universities or TAFE NSW.
A full unit outline will be published shortly, visit our FAQ for more information.
We are not your typical school.
Our units are dynamic, collaborative and real world focused – you’ll be working hands-on and in small groups to exchange ideas, complete projects and learn by doing. The workload should feel about the same as one of your degree or diploma courses but is designed to fit comfortably around your schedule.
The change-maker community
You will become a lifetime member of the diverse SSE community. This means making those unlikely friendships that provide the collaborative spirit for true entrepreneurial successes. It means sharing information, discussing ideas and staying connected with SSE’s activities and industry partners.
You will broaden your mindset and skills by working in inter-institutional, cross-disciplinary teams of like-minded peers from right across NSW.
We’ve got you covered
We believe in making opportunity accessible. SSE charges no fees for this unit. If you are from outside Sydney, SSE will provide a mobility scholarship to cover travel and accommodation costs.
You will not be awarded credit for completing this unit. It is considered as a co-curricular activity.
