Update (18 March 2020)
Like many of you, the SSE team is now working remotely to help stop the spread of COVID-19. You’ll still be able to contact us via email or phone with any questions and we’re always happy to take a meeting via Zoom. And to all our students starting their online journey soon, we look forward to seeing you in our newly designed digital classroom.
Make sure you’re staying safe and taking all the precautions you can during this time to protect the health and safety of yourself and the community.

As you know, the situation surrounding the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is continuing to develop. The health and wellbeing of our community is our first priority and so SSE is taking a number of actions to help mitigate the risk to everyone.
We are bringing our unit intensives fully online for Semester 1
We are redesigning our courses to bring the full learning experience to students digitally. Our four-day unit intensives in Ultimo will be replaced with a more immersive online experience supported by amazing mentors, founders and academics.
During this potentially tumultuous time, we are confident that our new online delivery method will give students greater flexibility, as well as regular online contact with fellow students from across the state, and engaged support from us and our expert facilitators.
We know that this news may be a disappointment to some students but we believe this new delivery method will offer something unique and exciting to all NSW students—the opportunity to get the skills to start a venture, change the world and build a career, from any laptop.
Applications are still open for both Structuring for Success and Activation.
To students who have already applied, we have had a large volume of applications and we apologise for any delay in processing applications while we continue to work through our response to COVID-19. You will receive a response to your application soon.
All eligible regional students who have already booked travel and accommodation will be covered for any reasonable costs incurred before today's date that cannot be recovered. Given that our scholarships are provided to cover the cost of travel to and accommodation at our intensives (which will now be online), no new scholarship offers will be made for Semester 1 2020.
Other SSE activities and programs may be impacted
SSE is continuing to follow all guidance from NSW Health and the Australian Government on travel arrangements, events and best practice for everyday activity.
We are taking all precautions internally to stop the spread of COVID-19 and have policies in place if an SSE staff member experiences symptoms or is diagnosed with coronavirus and/or in the event that the TAFE NSW campus in Ultimo is forced to close.
We are also following the guidance of our partners and members in regards to our involvement in external activities, events and programs.
Online programs such as our Virtual Internship will not be impacted.
We will continue to update this page
