Bootcamps

1. Overview

SSE’s goal is to become the epicentre of entrepreneurship education in NSW, Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Bootcamps are a key component in SSE’s commitment to maintaining a global perspective and leading international initiatives that promote entrepreneurship.

1.1 What?

Through partnering with overseas Hosts, Bootcamps provide opportunities for Participants to work with Host Partners to immerse themselves into the host countries to develop their knowledge, network with local partners and pitch for local investment.

Bootcamps provide opportunities for Australian based entrepreneurs to become part of the global environment.

1.2 Who?

Bootcamps are open to all students and alumni from the 11 NSW Universities and TAFE NSW.  Generally, students can apply, or Members nominate suitable applicants to participate in the Bootcamp program.  Participants are selected by SSE from those nominated through a merit-based competitive process. The selection of Bootcamp Participants is at the sole discretion of SSE.

1.3 Where and when?

SSE facilitates a number of international Bootcamps each year. The destination and timing of the Bootcamps are determined by SSE at its sole discretion.

1.4 Costs

SSE will contribute, by way of a scholarship, a contribution to the Bootcamp program fee.

It is the responsibility of the Bootcamp Participant to contribute the balance of the Bootcamp participation fee.

Further, the Bootcamp Participant is responsible, at their own expense, for the cost of all travel, accommodation, living expenses and any other incidentals costs associated with attending the Bootcamp including the cost of visa fees, immunisations, travel insurance and other expenses incurred prior to departure.

2. Conditions of participation in Bootcamps

Before Participants engage in a Bootcamp, they may be required to meet appropriate financial, health and enrolment requirements. They are also required to agree to be governed by SSE conditions of participation, to abide by the rules and regulations of the Host Partners and the laws of the host country.
