Founder of StitchHub
Lucy is a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Visual Communications and Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation (BCII) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Having somewhat 'stumbled' into entrepreneurship, she launched her startup Stitch Hub alongside her two co-founders and BCII classmates in early 2018.
Stitch Hub was inspired by her own pain points of living with type 1 diabetes since the age of 9, sparking her passion for improving user-centred care and the experiences of people within the healthcare system. Whilst working on Stitch Hub, Lucy also works part-time as an Associate Lecturer in the Faculty of Transdisciplinary Innovation at UTS. StitchHub ended operations in mid-2019, but the founders are exploring options to continue the companies' mission.
Lucy’s teaching combined with her startup provides her with the opportunities to pursue her love of innovation, complex problem solving and user-centred design. If there's any spare time in between, you'll find Lucy on stage, performing in musicals and theatre.
