Sydney School of Entrepreneurship (SSE) today announced that Dr Sarah Jones has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer effective 01 October 2019.
Dr Jones, currently Chief of Staff and Director of Operations, will lead the organisation through its next phase of strategic growth.
Executive Chairman Emeritus Professor Mark Wainwright AM said Dr Jones’s leadership, passion and experience will help deliver opportunities that facilitate jobs growth and economic development across New South Wales.
“Sarah has already been working tirelessly to consolidate SSE’s activities and make entrepreneurship education accessible to anyone in the state and around the country,” Emeritus Professor Wainwright said.

“Entrepreneurship is an inter-connected web of collaboration. SSE is committed to empowering and connecting diverse peoples, businesses, communities and resources from across the State and beyond the borders. SSE aims to equip Australians to respond to the changing demands of the modern workforce and raise the prosperity for all.”
“In our first two years of operation, SSE has welcomed over 6000 people to more than 130 learning activities from Wollongong to Wagga Wagga. I am excited to lead a dedicated team in delivering services that will have real-world impact."
Dr Jones will take over from Emeritus Professor Mark Wainwright, who was SSE’s founding Chair of the Board and has been Executive Chairman since April 2019.
