We’ve just wrapped up an inspirational week with startup mentor and educator Sean Wise from Ryerson University. Here’s what went down.

The centrepiece of the week was Sean’s keynote address ‘From Wantrepreneur to Entrepreneur’. Myths were busted, advice for startups came thick and fast, and there were plenty of fascinating insights about the state of global entrepreneurship. Watch the livestream below.

Sean also spent two days visiting the Armidale and Tamworth campuses of the University of New England. He delivered a keynote speech at both campuses, connected with the Smart Region Incubator (SRI) and met with a number of key leaders including Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Todd Walker and SRI Director Lou Conway.

Back in Sydney, Sean led a breakfast exploring the growth of Ryerson University’s incubator program over the last 10+ years to become the #1 university-based incubator in the world. He also presented to a highly engaged group of students from the Macquarie University Global Leadership Program.

After his keynote that evening, it was straight to Newcastle for events at the I2N Hub about building a campus culture of entrepreneurship and an interactive session as part of the Hunter Innovation Festival.

Finally, he returned to the SSE campus in Ultimo where he presented to students in the Ideation course, answering questions and joining networking drinks for the nearly 50 students and academics present.
