SSE Learner Survey – Startup Success Program Competition

 

The Sydney School of Entrepreneurship (SSE) is providing ten participants from the SSE Learner Survey 6 weeks of access to the SSE ‘Startup Success’ online program – valued at $490. Access will be from 1st July – 15th August, 2024.  

Participants who complete the Startup Success program will be eligible for SSE Startup Success verified Digital Badge to share on their CV and social channels. 

Before entering, you must read the following Terms and Conditions. Any entries that are in breach of the Terms and Conditions will not be accepted. 

Selection Process 

Any person who meets the eligibility and entry requirements set out below will be entered into a draw, and 10 people will be randomly selected as winners. 

Eligibility and Entry 

Entrants must:

  • have been enrolled in an SSE program
    have completed the Learner Survey
  • agree to the Terms and Conditions below.

Terms and Conditions

  1. GENERAL

1.1 By participating in the Learner Survey Competition  (Competition), the person who is participating in the Competition (You) agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 

1.2 The Competition is organised by Sydney School of Entrepreneurship (ABN 64 615 652 778) of Building J, 651 – 731 Harris Street, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia (SSE). 

1.3 Submissions that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions are deemed to be invalid. 

1.4 The competition will be open to respondents from 6 June to 20 June 2024.

1.5 SSE reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who SSE believes has breached any of these Terms and Conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Competition. 

  1. THE COMPETITION

2.1 The Competition opens on 6 June 2024 and closes at 11.59 pm on 20 June 2024. 

2.2 Entry into the Competition is free of charge. 

2.3 The Competition winners will be drawn at random by SSE staff.  

2.4 To enter, individuals must complete the steps outlined below to enter (Submission)

  1. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

3.1 In order to submit a Submission, you must: 

  1. be a learner who enrolled in an SSE-run program between 01 January 2022 – present day.
  2.  if under 18, obtain parental/guardian approval to enter this Competition. Your parent/guardian must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions and SSE may require you to provide proof of such consent. 
  3. agree to these Terms and Conditions. 
  1. COMPETITION DETAILS AND JUDGING

4.1 The Competition judges (the Judges) will be made up of SSE staff members. 

4.2 All eligible Submissions will be collected and Judges will select the winners from the Submissions at random on 21 June, 2024. 

4.3 SSE will inform the winners via email on 21 June, 2024. The winners must respond to this email by COB on 28 June 2024, or the prize will be redrawn.

4.4 The decision of the Judges is final, and no communication regarding the deliberations or outcomes will occur.  

  1. PRIZE DETAILS

5.1 The total value of each Prize is $490, with a total prize pool of $4,900. 

5.2 Each Prize recipient will 6 weeks access to SSE ‘Startup Success’ online program – valued at $490.

5.3 All Prizes must be claimed before COB on Friday 28 June 2024. Prizes cannot be claimed after that date.  

5.4 The Prize can not be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. In the event that the Prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the SSE’s control, SSE may substitute a Prize with a similar value. 

5.5 If you are the Prize recipient, and your Submission is subsequently found to have breached these Terms and Conditions, SSE reserve the right to withdraw access to the online course and any microcredential issued as a result. 

5.6 SSE is not responsible for the Prize once it has left SSE or its agent’s premises. This includes responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed, or lost in transit. 

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1 By entering the Competition, you: 

(a) grant to SSE a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to copy, publish, communicate, perform, play, re-broadcast, adapt and modify the whole or parts of your Submission in any format, platform, server, database, or communication channel, that is currently available and those which may be available in the future, for any use or purpose that SSE deems appropriate; and 

(b) consent to SSE dealing with your Submission in any way that may otherwise infringe your moral rights and you agree not to assert your moral rights (wherever such rights are recognised) in respect of your Submission against the SSE or its assigns, licensees or successors. In particular, you consent to SSE changing the caption that accompanies your Submission. 

  1. INDEMNITY

7.1 You indemnify SSE against all losses, damages, claims and costs by third parties arising out of, connected to, or resulting from, a breach by you of these Terms and Conditions.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

8.1 SSE assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive a Submission or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, SSE may modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Competition. 

8.2 SSE is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information or other errors (whether technical or otherwise) that may occur in this Competition. SSE accepts no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries. 

8.3 To the full extent permitted by law, SSE will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or inconsequential) to persons or property as a result of any person entering into the Competition or accepting or using the prize. 

8.4 SSE’s right to recover damages or other compensation is reserved. 

  1. WARRANTIES

9.1 By entering this Competition, you warrant that: 

(a) you have complied with all requirements set out in part 3 (Conditions of Entry) above; and 

(b) all information provided by you in connection with your Submission is correct and true in all parts. 

  1. PRIVACY

10.1 SSE may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised by you, use the personal information you provide in the course of the Competition for publicity in connection with the Competition. 

10.2 In particular, you agree that if you are selected as the Winner, your name, likeness and Submission may be used for promotional and publicity purposes in connection with the Competition.
