Programs
Startup Success
Startup Success is one of SSE’s signature entrepreneurship education programs. It’s a comprehensive six-part program designed to introduce learners to entrepreneurship as a mindset and explore the processes involved in ideating – and the basic framework for launching – a new business.
It comprises a series of six learning modules that directly address the following skill gaps; analysing, developing, and testing a business idea, establishing a business, finding and growing a customer base, accessing capital, managing finances, identifying regulatory barriers, and presentation and networking skills.
As with most SSE programs, how Startup Success is delivered is flexible and can be customised based on learners’ own identified skills gaps and areas of interest. It can be delivered as a 3-day in-person workshop or online over a 6-week period (both amounting to 24 learning hours in total).

Upon completing each of the assessed microcredentials, participants receive an authorised digital SSE badge issued by Credly. The badge can be shared via their social media profiles (SSE recommends LinkedIn). Aligned with the National Microcredentials Framework (NMF), SSE microcredential badges are a certification of an assessed learning module that is outcome-based, driven by industry need, tailored to support lifelong learning, and transparent and accessible. Verifiable micro-skills are embedded into the digital badge as part of its meta-data and are accessible to employers seeking candidates with the relevant skills.
