SSE acknowledges that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are the First Peoples and Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways of Australia. We pay respect to Elders past and present, as the original storytellers, innovators, and place-makers and together, celebrate the traditional sovereignty of these unceded lands.

When 60 student entrepreneurs converged in Sydney this week for the first intensive session of The Navigator unit, their first challenge was to split into teams for a Massive Ecosystem Scavenger Hunt (MESH).
A highly experiential learning activity, MESH builds student’s entrepreneurial awareness by introducing them to key players in Sydney’s innovation ecosystem.
Using the clues provided, teams must solve which organisations they will meet with, locate each organisation, and go on an adventure to visit them.
SSE students have voted MESH their favourite activity, saying they feel inspired by the people they meet.
Around 10-15 organisations participate in MESH each semester. They open their doors to our student entrepreneurs for a short tour, offer an interview, and discuss their role in the Australian entrepreneurial community.
SSE students and partners share their visits on social media – #SSEMESH. The feedback is always positive.
“Thank you for Friday – I really enjoyed it and was uplifted by each of you and the students energy. It was wonderful to be amongst such wonderful and passionate people! Thanks again for the opportunity.” – Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Innovation Labs.
