Partner Spotlight: University of Wollongong

Through consultation with the Student Engagement and Employability department at the University of Wollongong (UOW), an opportunity was identified to build the financial literacy and entrepreneurial intelligence of select UOW students who access student support and specialist services.

We delivered a customised version of our Invest in Yourself: Exploring Money & Self Employment program to these students over five weeks at the end of 2022. The program aimed to strengthen participants’ financial literacy, explore alternative employment pathways, and develop entrepreneurial mindsets. ​

The delivery of the program was successful, with participants building new confidence to start a business, and developing their financial knowledge.

This program has helped me achieve a better understanding of how to make money, manage it and invest it using the right channels. I really believe SSE's program has helped me upgrade myself to the next level.
